19/05/2015From May 19th the BE (Bentheimer Eisenbahn) hires 272 205-6 (1001458) from MRCE. The locomotive still has its orange livery of the previous user RTS. The BE is considering buying new locomotives and therefore testing some candidates, amongst them are this G2000 and a DE 2700.
02/01/2015At about 14:00 a train consisting of 14 wagons and a G2000 was lead on the dead end at Guastalla yard in Italy. The locomotive G2000 20 (5001519) hit the concreet buffer, tilted and landed on its side. The first wagon behind the locomotive was derailed. The engine driver had only minor injuries and was checked in the hospital. The through route in Guastalla is not barred, so normal train operating will continue.
 2014 
15/09/2014RRF 1102 (5001634) returned to service after she was repaired from collision damage from 07/03/2013 between Gent and Zelzate (B). At the same time RRF 1101 (5001604) disappeared from service. She was given back to ATC.
05/04/2014RRF 1101 (5001604) is back in the Netherlands. The locomotive was damaged in an accident februari last year and was repaired at Alstom in Stendal.
29/01/2014Locomotive SK43 (1001327) has received a new paint scheme at Bäcker Rail Design. The motor compartiments have been painted dark grey.

17/04/2013And again another G2000 joined RRF. It is 5001606 as 1106.

22/02/2013A locomotive from Husa collided with with a couple of locomotives of RRF on the Waalhaven Zuid yard. Amongst them was RRF 1101 (5001604) which was damaged and was not seen active since then. The repairs probably will be done together with an overhaul. RRF will be using 1103 (1001445) in stead.
18/01/2013RRF 1103 (1001445) has been returned to ATC and will be hired on a daily basis if needed. The locomotive is stabled on Kijfhoek yard.

26/12/2012As the three SBB Cargo G2000 locomotives (1001453, 5001481 and 5001482) have no more employ in Italy, they will be put available to be sold. The division Infrastruktur will check if the locos are suitable and can be used on work trains.
22/10/2012WLE 21 (1001455) has had a main inspection in the own WLE central workshop in Lippstadt. With the revision date 22/10/2012 the locomotive is available again for the Warsteiner beer trains.
13/04/2012On Friday April 13th (!) HGK DH58 (1001034) collided with RRF 16 at a low speed on the dutch Maasvlakte. Both were heading a train with containers of which several derailed. Both engine drivers had just minor injuries.
06/02/2012After ERS said goodbye to their last G2000 in 2007, they are temporarely hiring one back now due to maintanence to their fleet of G1206.

16/10/2011RTB V204 (5001753) broke down while departing from Emmerich with a Retrack train for Oss. It seemed tools were left in the turbo after maintenance.
01/05/2011Since 14/04/2011 Rotterdam Rail Feeding (RRF) has received her first G2000. It is the 5001604 which was formerly known as R4C 2005. The locomotive will go to Antwerp harbour and perform shunting duties in its Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (GWI) livery. Another G2000 will also come to RRF in the near future.

09/08/2010DH753 suffered an internal fire while running in the Rotterdam harbour on the Calandbridge. Three days later she was put on transport in a containershuttle to Duisburg.
27/01/2010A new G2000 in orange livery with yellow front was seen running solo through Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg. It was 5001701 for Colas Rail (former Seco Rail). The next day the locomotive was seen in Saabrücken.
15/01/2010Captrain Deutschland GmbH is the new name of Veolia Cargo Deutschland. Some of the R4C/VCN G2000 have lost their logos; at least 2005, 2006 and 2007 were seen without the logos.

23/06/2009In March 2009 RTB V 202 was hit by a V90 in Troisdorf. At the moment the locomotive is in Moers at the Vossloh work shops to be repaired. The engine has been removed.

15/04/2009A new G 2000 has left Kiel for France pulled by MWB V 1253. This 5001551 has green cabines, blue roof and a darkish yellow rectangle on the front. On 16/4/2009 the transport was seen in Grosssachsen-Heddesheim.

22/10/2008Four new G2000 locomotives for ECR were transported from Vossloh Kiel to the shunting station Meimersdorf. Because it is only allowed to bring one G2000 over the Nord Ostsee Kanal bridge, time consuming shunting operations took place at Neuwittenbek and Kiel Suchsdorf. This was done by a MaK 1000B. The numbers of the four G2000 are 5001637, 5001641, 5001669 and 5001670. The next day the journey continued behind a DB class 155 to Forbach.
22/09/2008The Belgium National Railways (SNCB) have renumbered their G2000 as class 57. The 5001757 has received the number 5701 in large numbers on the front and side.
14/08/2008R4C 2004 pulled the at Delft Zuid stranded NSR DDAR 7875 to Rotterdam.
04/08/2008Three G2000 locomotives were delivered to Belgium and France today. They (5001603, 5001617 and 5001618) were transported by RTB and Railogic.

14/06/2007The first containertrain from railoperator Naviland left the Combi Terminal Pernis for Lyon. This train will run about 3 times a week and is ran by one of the G2000's of SNCF Fret.

18/12/2006Another new G2000 locomotives was seen in Kiel-Friedrichsort at a factory test run. The loco was identified by a piece of paper as 5001632. The locomotive is suitable for Germany and France according to the UIC-symbols.
17/12/2006R4C 2007 has left the hardly ever used track at Arnhem Kema were the ETCS equipment was tested since she arrived back from Kiel.
14/12/2006In Hausbergen (France) locomotive 5001603 was seen. Further details unknown.
14/12/2006Both 5001607 and 5001608 were transported in the Linz shuttle (pulled by 1001458) for destination Düren.
13/12/2006Around December 6th four G2000 locomotives left Kiel for Vossloh Moers. Today two of them were spotted outside the workshops and were identified as 5001615 and 5001616. They are intended for SNCF-FRET.
17/11/2006Two new G2000 locomotives were seen in Kiel-Altenholz at a factory test run. One of them was 5001616, the other could not yet be identified. Both locomotives are suitable for the Netherlands, Belgium and France according to the UIC-symbols.
07/11/2006R4C 2007 (5001606) left Vossloh in Kiel-Friedrichsort together with ACTS 7105 and MWB V1201. Both R4C 2007 and ACTS 7105 have received ETCS and GSM-R digital data transfer system. They are now ERTMS suitable.

21/05/2006Veolia arrived in Vlaardingen (NL) with a train of 18 kettels with Bio-diesel pulled by engine 1001042. Vopak is the receiver. Engine 1001042 has also a yellow front (obligatory for the Netherlands) and apparently also the dutch safety system ATB.
20/05/2006Seehafen Kiel has been using several G2000 during the past months. It has started with 1001458 and then for a short time 5001606 (which is the new R4C 2007 which is still not yet deliverd to R4C because of mounting and testing the belgium memor system). And lately 1001459 'Boreas' has been seen with SK labels on the cabs and is running for Seehafen Kiel since May 12th 2006.
09/05/2006R4C 2002 had a collision with a truck in the Houtrakpolder (Amsterdam). Although the loco had only minor damage, the NYK shuttle she was pulling, was taken over by a G1206.
14/04/2006DFG in Italy has received their second MaK2000. The engine left the Vossloh factory on April 6th 2006 and was transported to DFG in regular freight trains.
12/04/2006Since monday April 10th 2006 R4C has hired 1001326 (before hired by ERSR as ERSR2002). She will return to Vossloh when the R4C 2007 (5001606) arrives.

14/03/2006Yesterday the OHE MaK 2000 (1001460) was brought to the Vossloh site in Moers. This was done by OHE locomotive 185 534 which brought a ketteltrain to Emmerich.
04/03/2006Today at about 10.45 the OHE MaK 2000 (1001460) arrived at Berlin Schönefeld with smoke comming out the the engine room. The fire was put down by the engine driver. The train was pulled away by DB electric locomotive 112 120-1.
24/02/2006The two new MaK 2000-3BB engines in black livery came into the Netherlands with train 40104 (Melzo shuttle Venlo - Europoort). They are from MRCE and will be hired bij ERS Railways.
15/02/2006R4C received two new G2000 engines (R4C 2005 = 5001 604 and R4C 2006 = 5001 605). The next day the R4C 2005 was already used for a cereals train from Bentheim.
14/01/2006The Warsawa-shuttle (train 42330) brought another G2000 for ERS (1001326, ERS 2002) to the Netherlands.
10/01/2006Today 2 G2000 arrived in the Netherlands with train 41746 that was pulled by a R4C G2000 (so a total of 3 G2000 in front of this train). Engine 1001035 will be used by R4C (temporarely until the new 2005 arrives) and 1001038 is for ERS. Both locomotives were adapted in Kiel to run on dutch tracks.
06/01/2006A bit longer than expected the NE 9 stayed with ERS. Originally she was hired until the end of November 2005, but she was also needed in December and returned today to the NE.

28/12/2005Another two G2000 locomotives have been delivered to ACT in Italy. These engine numbers are 5001590 and 5001599.
30/11/2005Three locomotives that were hired by SBB Cargo AG are now hired by Railion Italy. It concerns 5001520, 5001521 and 5001522.
29/11/2005On KBS 980 two G2000 for ACT in Italy were seen on transport behind a class 152. The engine numbers are 5001597 and 5001598.
23/11/2005Yesterday 1001459 "Boreas" ran light engine from Brühl (where she was for tests at HGK) to Niebüll. She will be tested in weather-related conditions on the SyltShuttle again until Sunday 27/11/2005 after which she will return to Brühl.
02/11/20051001454 is in Malmö for tests in order to get the permissions to run in Sweden. On Sunday she was transported from Rostock to Sweden using the ferry to Trelleborg. During the night of November 2nd several test runs were made between Kävlinge - Landskrona - Helsingborg. Later there will also be test runs between Mjölby - Krylbo - Uppsala - Stockholm - Mjölby.

25/08/2005Just after midnight R4C 2001 stranded in Baarn due to a fire in the engine room. The fire-brigade had to come to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is a broken fuel pipe. Another R4C locomotive, 2002, is in Moers at the moment with a broken shaft.
19/08/2005Locomotive 1001043 is on test with EH (Eisenbahn und Häfen GmbH) as 908, probably for a short time. She was seen on the chalk train to Flandersbach.
12/08/2005R4C Benelux BV received two new locomotives from Vossloh today: a MaK2000 and a 1206. The MaK2000 has the works number 1001446 and will be numbered as 2004.
14/07/2005R4C 2001 derailed at Botlek (Rotterdam harbour), it seems there is no or little damage to the engine, so the locomotive is put back on the tracks. Furthermore 2001 will stay a little longer with R4C because of upcomming traffic. 2002 will go back to Vossloh for a software update as soon as new locomotives arrive.
13/07/2005After DB Autozug GmbH have completed the tests with 1001459 on the SyltShuttle, the first results are now known. Positiv evaluated was the high 2700 kW power and the soot particle filter. The high diesel consumption, the overall effiency and the unsatisfactory effect of the hydrodynamic brake were the negative points. At this moment it is unlikely that the MaK2000 locomotive will be chosen for the SyltShuttle.
27/06/2005From Monday 27/06 until Friday 01/07 DB AutoZug SyltShuttle is testing the MaK2000. The locomotive used for testing is 1001459 "Boreas", a MaK2000-4. DB Autozug GmbH will buy 7 new diesel locomotives and has already tested several other types. Next year they will make their decision.
11/06/2005Locomotive 1001445 has turned up in Rotterdam Harbour. This engine has made test runs in Belgium and partly in the Netherlands before. She is now hired by R4C as number 2003. R4C 2001 will return to ATC.
06/06/2005As from today OHE (Osthannoversche Eisenbahnen AG) is using 1001460, hired from ATC. This locomotive was hired before by NIAG.
03/06/2005On the Transport Logistic 2005 Fair in Munich, the 1001456 was handed over to Angel Trains Cargo. With this one the company now has 100 locomotives from Vossloh Locomotives from which 39 are type MaK2000.
24/05/2005Today the 1001445 reached the Netherlands on a test run via Herzogenrath (D) to Heerlen.

08/2004D06 (1001039) returned to active duty after she was repaired at Vossloh in Moers due to a shunting accident in Elze last year.
02/08/2004The new Westfälische Landeseisenbahn GmbH (WLE) engine 21 (1001455) left Moers for Lippstadt after she was brought from Kiel to Moers on 27/06/2004. She has been painted in the colours of Warsteiner Brauerei, for whom the engine will run trains. In the near future she will also receive signatures of this company.
29/07/2004Railion Nederland BV has hired the NE 9 locomotive and she came running light with Railion stickers into the Netherlands. She ran train 42763 from Maasvlakte (Rotterdam) to Oberhausen-West with RN 232 909 as second, not working locomotive.
14/06/2004Since last week, the Norddeutsche Eisenbahngesellschaft Niebüll GmbH (NEG) has hired 1001035 and numbered her as 2000.009. The engine will be used for freigt traines in northern Germany and will also reach Padborg in Denmark.
02/04/2004From March 30th until April 1st, DB Systemtechnik München made some test runs between Probstzella and Steinbach with G2000 1001034 hauling some gravel wagons and banking 103 235 as the breaking engine.
10/03/2004As from today, ACTS has hired again G2000.02 for the waste trains in northern Netherlands. Trains that will be hauled are Groningen - VAM, Groningen - Bremen and (probably partial together with a class 1250) Groningen - Schwarze Pumpe.

14/06/2003A new locomotive (1001384) arrived in Bentheim for end destination Zutphen. It is the first one for Shortlines.
08/06/2003Locomotive G2000 01 for ACT (I) passed Ebersbach border for destination Prague. Purpose is several tests on the Velim ring.
13/03/2003From March 7th until 13th Vossloh made some test runs in Austria. A 800 t cement train was used between Wiener Neustadt and Fehring. Without problems stop and go tests were made on a 29 promille gradient.
04/02/2003Siegener Kreisbahn received their locomotive yesterday. She is painted in light orange and carries the number 43. And already today she did her first duty from Siegen to Erndtebrück for the steel works.
02/2003SBB Cargo AG orders 3 locomotives with symmetric wide cabs. The locomotives will be used by Swiss Rail Cargo Italy for freight trains from Chiasso into northern Italy. The locomotives will be deliverd by the end of 2003.

19/12/2002G2000.02 arrived at Siegener Kreisbahn. The SK has the locomotive on loan until their own one will arrive. From 06/01/2003 the locomotive will be used on the Kreuztal - Erndtebrück branch for trains from the steel plant.
14/11/2002Press Release of Locomotion Capital: Three Vossloh G2000 diesel locomotives will be leased to ConTrain, a subsidiary of RegioRail owned by MVV GmbH, the City of Manheim owned utility. Also one G2000 will be leased to Mitteldeutsche Eisenbahn GmbH (a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG).
08/10/2002MKB has endet the use of G2000.02 (because locomotive DH43 came from HGK to Minden) and the locomotive went to Dortmund.
13/09/2002For a whole week, in royal weather conditions, a G 2000 BB (German version) has demonstrated its performance range on the rather difficult line between Halmstad and Hyltebruk in Sweden with all ist gradients and bends.

09/08/2002Contrain received their second G2000 (1001039). Regentalbahn will run the locomotive as D06 with container trains between Hof and Hamburg
02/08/2002Locomotive 1001041 was delivered to OHE-Sp in Berlin. She is the first one with grey in stead of silver coloured body. The locomotive will run trains for Contrain netween Steinbach am Wald and Ehrang.
19/07/2002After 1001033 was repaired, she went to WEG where she replaced a G1206.
13/06/20021001042 was delivered to Connex and is running at RBB
28/04/2002The first not blue/grey G2000 (1001040) went to the NE. She is numbered as 9 and painted light red.
25/04/2002G2000.01 went to Infraleuna after she did some test runs in Austria.
20/04/2002G2000.02 went to MKB after she was presented at several private rail operaters during the last five weeks. She was also at Infraleuna, MEG, OHE-Sp and VPS.
24/03/2002The belgium company DLC received 1001035.
12/03/2002G2000.01 returned to Germany from Austria after she did some test runs with trains for LTE from 06/03/2002.

19/02/2002The two locomotives 1001037 and 1001038 went to the NOB. At this very same day the locomotives pulled together a train from Lübeck to Simbach. 1001037 went a little later to OHE-Sp in Berlin.

11/10/2001The Diesel Loco G2000.02 (1001029) was in Luxembourg for tests on 8. - 11. October 2001.
02/10/2001RAG received their second G2000 as 902 (1001031).
17/09/2001The third G2000 (1001030) left the factory at Kiel and is also for RAG Bahn und Hafen. This locomotive is owned by Locomotion Capital, which hires the loco to RAG on a long term basis. She has the number 901.
01/09/2001G2000.02 (1001029) arrived at Gladbeck where she will be used by RAG Bahn und Hafen. The loco is hired Vossloh.
25/06/2001Last week the first proto type G2000 arrived at RAG for testing in normal operation.

27/09/2000A G2000 was seen at Vienna West Station. This engine was on some trial runs in Austria because ÖBB purchased new engines based on this type.
15/09/2000Vossloh presents their Prototype G2000BB at the Innotrans in Berlin from 13th - 15th september 2000.
31/08/2000The first G2000 (1001028) left Kiel for the Innotrans in Berlin. She was not running on own power.
