V200 048 still exists! Locomotive V200 048 went to Algeria in 1986 and was used by Heitkamp for track renewing. After the track work was completed it was unclear what had happened with the loco (probably scrapped). But she still exists! It was always assumed that the locomotive had been sold to the SNTF, but this did never happen, nor did they use it. The locomotive was simply dumped in the depot of Constantine after the track work was completed. Thanks to Jeff Hawken for sharing this picture with us.

History overview The V200 was developed for both passenger- as freight trains and had to replace the steamlocomotive. A total number of 136 machines were built, the first in 1953 and the last one in 1965. 	Technical Version 1.1 came online on 12-01-2003 and consisted only of the main page. The site was officially launched on April 1st 2003. These pages have been made with Wordpad and Adobe Photoshop. Pictures are scanned using a Canon 660U flatbed scanner or Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III.
